Momentum Accounting was founded with a simple mission: to provide small business owners with the same level of expertise, care, and professionalism found at leading corporate accounting firms without the complexity or impersonal experience. The firm's goal is to keep clients' financial records accurate, tax obligations manageable, and business owners focused on growing their businesses with confidence.
Founded by Christian "Chris" Gonzalez, Momentum Accounting brings more than a decade of experience in accounting, finance, banking, and business operations to entrepreneurs, small businesses, and service organizations. Chris holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Accounting and is a QuickBooks Certified ProAdvisor, Six Sigma Black Belt, and Florida Notary Public.
Chris has built his career with some of the nation's most respected financial institutions and corporations. He has worked for two Fortune 500 companies (Lockheed Martin and JP Morgan Chase) as well as Popular, Inc., one of the Top 50 U.S. Bank Holding Companies.
At Popular, Inc., Chris served as a Branch Manager, where he also held licenses as a Banker, Insurance Consultant, and Annuity Consultant. In this role, he led branch operations, managed client relationships, developed financial solutions, and helped individuals and business owners achieve their financial goals.
At JP Morgan Chase, Chris served as a Licensed Management Banker, providing comprehensive banking and financial services while developing strong expertise in financial analysis, relationship management, and business banking.
He later transitioned into corporate accounting and finance, holding senior accounting roles with Lockheed Martin and serving as a Controller for private companies. Throughout his career, he has led financial operations, budgeting, financial reporting, audits, payroll, tax compliance, internal controls, and process improvement initiatives.
This unique combination of banking, corporate finance, and operational leadership allows Chris to provide clients with more than traditional bookkeeping. He understands how financial decisions impact every aspect of a business and delivers practical, accurate, and growth-focused accounting solutions tailored to each client's unique needs.
Fluent in both English and Spanish, Chris is committed to providing personalized service, transparent communication, and strategic financial guidance that helps business owners make informed decisions, remain compliant, and build long-term success.
